Thank You

Thank you for all your generous support that will make an immediate difference in the lives of Rick Villerot's family. Our benefit was a huge success.

We would also like to thank you for keeping Rick's family in your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

Today

Today is the Day

We have the t-shirts, the food, the music, and the ice. We hope to see you there, and hopefully we can have a big impact on the lives of Rick's family today.

We did have a few last minute additions to the silent auction:

- A Charter Fishing Trip, out of Grindstone
- A Fully Guided Turkey Hunt

The weather is going to be beautiful today, so stop by Island Lake Recreation Area for some great food, great auctions and great conversation about a wonderful man.

Hope to see you there

Good Morning

Today is the last full day before the benefit and it's going to be a crazy, busy, great day!

All of the planning is coming together nicely, everything has been purchased, now its time to get everything packed up and ready to go. Later we will be working on last minute things and I'm sure having some laughs (and tears of course) while sharing stories of Ricky.

Thank you so much to all who have helped in any way, we are hoping this benefit will really help make a difference in the lives of Rick's family.

A few more notes about silent auction stuff, we will also have some great items donated from Witch's Hat Brewery in South Lyon, several area bars and restaurants in the Pinckney/Hamburg/South Lyon/Brighton area. In addition to this we will have lots of outdoors/camping/hunting gear and gym memberships, including a one hour massage from Liberty Athletic Club in Ann Arbor!

So far we have over 100 items to bid on with retail values anywhere from $10 to $1,850! And we are still adding more, I am guessing by benefit time we will probably have at least 125 items.

When its all said and done, just keep in mind who we are all doing this for and know that all of our efforts will be appreciated.

Get ready for the last day of planning (and probably more blog posts). Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

More Park Information

The Benefit is in 3 days and everything is really falling into place.

Really quickly, as there was some confusion....

The address on the flyer for Island Lake State Recreation Area says Grand River Ave. However that is just the address for the shooting range of Island Lake (the only address listed online). The entrance to the main part of the park, where the benefit is being held (Bluebird Pavillion) is actually on KENSINGTON RD.

You can take I-96 Just East of US-23 to exit 151 (Kensington Road). Go South on Kensington Road and the entrance to the park will be on your left. (East side of the road). We will have it as clearly marked as possible.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday!
